On October 11, 2011, a Miami Police officer, Fausto Lopez, 35, was pulled over while driving a marked police car at gunpoint by an FHP Trooper
According to FHP Sargeant Mark Wysocky, “based on her observation of the driving pattern of the vehicle she conducted a traffic stop and detained the driver to determine why he was driving in that fashion.” When the trooper tried to catch up the police car, the car reached speeds of 120 MPH and was weaving in an out of traffic
Lopez stated that he was en route to an off-duty detail and he had to be there by 7:00 a.m.
